It’s been an age old question and desire. We all want the magic bullet that will cure us of our fat without making us diet and exercise! We live in a society struggling with obesity, and there is more than one diet pill claiming to be the miracle that will help you to melt away the fat and pounds while maintaining the same old habits you always had! It all sounds good. And we have made countless resolutions as individuals and as a nation. With all of the problems and struggles, we often search for vastly exaggerated diet pills claiming to be the miracle we need.
But the truth is that there is no diet pill that can promote weight loss without diet and exercise! In order to achieve better results, you cannot actually sit around on the couch and eat potato chips or bon bons all day. Good diet pills are meant to enhance the benefits of the work that you are already doing. So if you are already eating more fruits and vegetables and running a mile every day, good diet pills will help you to lose 3 pounds instead of 2 that week. It will help you to burn more fat, to have more energy for your workouts. Maybe it will help your body to better recover after.
But with the best diet pills, you cannot expect amazing or miraculous results. You can expect them to complement the effects and benefits of what you are doing for yourself. The best diet pills will help you to maximize the benefits of the work that you are willing to do, and they will improve your body’s natural mechanisms. But they will not make up for a lack of work on your part.
Starches are grains, pasta, cereal, bread, and vegetables that contain a lot of starch would include corn and potatoes. Starches provide minerals, vitamins, carbohydrate, and fiber. Whole grain starches are best because they have more minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Diabetics should eat some starches at every meal. Here is a list of foods that contain a good amount of starch: yams, corn, tortillas, potatoes, lentils, crackers, bread, pasta, rice, cereal, and beans.
Vegetables are very important for everyone, especially people with diabetes. Here are some vegetables that should be included in your diet: green beans, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, chilies, carrots, celery and peppers. Another important thing to make sure you are eating is plenty of fruit. Here is a list of some great ones: dried fruit, berries, raisins, apples, mango, watermelon, grapefruit, papaya, strawberries, oranges, guava, fruit juice, canned fruit, bananas, and peaches.
Metabolife - September 3rd, 2009
I was thinking it would be nice to drop a few pounds and started looking at diet pills. I came across Metabolife and talked to a friend who was using it and she told me the following: Metabolife originally contained ephedrine (which is derived from the ma huang root). Apparently in 1994 ephedrine was banned by the FDA, so any diet supplement that contained ephedrine had to be either pulled off the shelves or remade so that the ephedrine was no longer an ingredient.
My friend explained to me that she finds that Metabolife works great as long as she maintains an exercise regimen and eats a proper diet that consists of many vitamins and minerals. She has noticed that she has more energy and doesn’t get as hungry when she drinks water throughout the day and snacks on healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables. I think I might pick up some Metabolife today and give it a try. She really seems to think it works and she has already lost 15 pounds.
I’ve heard that ephedra isn’t the safest thing out there. Truth is, there are a lot of things out there that aren’t safe. The foods we eat can actually cause us to gain weight. Like eating fast food all of the time. I can’t believe how many children out there are obese. It seems like in this day and age kids are gaining more and more weight. My guess is they are obese because instead of going outside and riding their bike or skateboards, they are inside playing video games.
My nephew must spend at least eight hours a day playing games on his X-Box. But, because he drinks “green drinks” and fruits and vegetables, foods high in protein and lots of water, he, thank goodness, is still lean and healthy. I’m a firm believer in eating healthy, exercising and drinking copious amounts of water. Kids should be allowed to play video games, don’t get me wrong, but they should also be doing activities that actually burn calories. I would suggest getting your kids out of the house by going on a walk, a hike or a bike ride. You could even take them bowling, at the very least they are getting a little movement.
I find it easier to focus and work harder when I have goals to chase after. When I make a half-hearted commitment to something, it rarely pulls through. When I determine a goal to reach, I work towards until I finally accomplish it.
Weight loss is the same way. Without proper goals, one tends to lose weight the wrong way. My goal is to lose fat and build lean muscle. I’ve noticed a lot of people who try to lose weight just starve and miss out on necessary nutrients. Sure it does make them skinnier, but they’re just as flabby as before and even more unhealthy.
It works differently for everyone, but the best way for me to lose weight is to eat and work out. I don’t think I can survive even a day without eating, which causes some problems. THe important thing to remember is to find a regimen that works for YOU. Don’t tailor YOUR needs to other people. This weight loss goal is for you and you only!
